A Word From Our Director
Looking Back With Gratitude, Looking Ahead With Faith
What an extraordinary year 2025 has been! Celebrating ECM's 40th anniversary reminded me that God has been writing a story far bigger than any of us imagined. Children publicly declared their faith in Christ, families were strengthened, and communities took bold steps toward lasting transformation.
Your generosity and prayers are fueling our momentum. Thank you for being part of this mission.
With hope and expectation,
Mark Luckey, International Executive Director

Anna Antwi

Vanessa Takyiwa
"You've been our safe place since childhood — the hope you instilled in us with the word of God has guided our footsteps."
Annual Shoe Drive
Each spring, ECM hosts a shoe drive that turns donated shoes into opportunity. Individuals, families, schools, churches, and businesses collect new or gently used shoes, which are redistributed through our partner Funds2Orgs to microenterprise vendors in developing countries.
ECM receives funds based on the weight of shoes donated, directly supporting our Next Step Program - equipping young adults in Africa with vocational training and life skills. Because of our community's generosity, this spring tradition continues to open doors to hope and dignity!
In 2025 we collected 5,950 pairs of shoes!
Our Shoe Drive runs March - May every year!
We accept new and gently used shoes in all shapes and sizes - kids and adults!

Celebrating 40 Years of Faithful Impact
On November 7, 2025, nearly 300 friends and supporters gathered in Merrillville, Indiana to celebrate ECM's 40th anniversary. From the African Crafts Marketplace to laughter with comedian Tim Boyd, the evening felt like a family reunion.
Co-founder Lorella Rouster and Executive Director Mark Luckey shared reflections on four decades of God's faithfulness and cast vision for ECM's next chapter. Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, over $120,000 was raised to equip communities and reach more children and families with the love of Christ.
At our 40th Celebration, we honored ECM co-founder John Rouster, who went home to be with Jesus in 2024. Watch the memorial video below.

Transformed, to Transform
Because of your partnership, sponsored children aren’t just growing up, they’re giving back. In Ghana, a group of former ECM-sponsored students have formed a coalition to serve others just as they were once served. Emmanuel, Eric, Georgina, and Abigail are now leading outreach efforts to vulnerable communities, including a recent trip to Remar Village in Ghana where they brought practical aid and encouragement. Your investment in a sponsored child doesn’t end with them, it multiplies! These young leaders are living proof that transformed children really can transform the world.

Gospel Legacy
40 Years Later, the Gospel Still Spreads
In 1985, Every Child Ministries began with a simple mission: to equip Sunday school teachers in Congo to share the love of Jesus with children. That single step of obedience has grown into a movement spanning generations. Today, more than 7,000 ECM-initiated Sunday schools exist across Africa, each one a reflection of the ministry’s roots and God’s ongoing faithfulness. Forty years later, that same calling is still bearing fruit: training teachers, reaching children, and strengthening communities with the hope of the Gospel.

Walking Together in Tororo
In Tororo, Uganda, what began as a small outreach to children with albinism has grown into a thriving community. Children who were once hidden now thrive in school, families walk in dignity, and local leaders serve with confidence.
When Calvary Church in Valparaiso, Indiana, became a ministry partner, the transformation deepened. In June 2025, a Calvary team traveled to Tororo, building friendships and teaching vocational skills. They visited the computer lab their generosity had helped establish, seeing locals now access sermons and trainings.
Tororo is no longer defined by need, but by faith and hope - a living picture of empowered community transformation.
"We came home changed, encouraged by the faith, resilience, and joy encountered."
Nicole Moy, Calvary team member
